Finish: Our jewelry is bonded with Titanium Nitride PVD to best match your 14k gold and fine silver jewelry. Titanium nitride is a hypoallergenic material that is more durable and resistant to wear than traditional gold plating. PVD coating is also more environmentally friendly than traditional plating.
Care: Waterproof and tarnish resistant. To maintain shine, polish with a soft cloth.

We take skin sensitivities very seriously, so we craft our jewelry in ASTM F-136 titanium (aka medical-grade titanium), the same material doctors trust for medical implants. It's naturally hypoallergenic, nickel-free, and safe for the most sensitive of ears.
PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) is a modern plating process that creates a finish that's more durable than traditional gold plating. The result is jewelry that better withstands the rhythms of everyday life, helping its color stay beautiful through regular wear.
Absolutely — you don't have to take off your jewelry when you're working out or showering. Our titanium jewelry is waterproof, sweatproof, and made to keep up with your daily life. You can wear it all day and night, through workouts, showers, and the occasional nap. Or as we like to say, sweat, shower, sleep, repeat.
Titanium is remarkably strong for its weight, making it both durable and almost weightless. That means you can wear bold, sculptural earrings that feel surprisingly comfortable — often so comfortable you'll forget you're wearing them.
Most people wear our standard (6mm) backing comfortably. If your ears are thinner, or you find that your earrings are drooping, you may prefer a short (4mm) backing. This is my first time with Maison Miru and with nap earrings. I've worn them for almost a week now without taking them off. Absolutely no sensitivity and very comfortable!
